Are you a contractor or homeowner doing building, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing work that's ready for an inspection? You'll need to have a permit for the work to request an inspection.
Only electrical and plumbing inspections may be scheduled online. Other inspection types may be scheduled by calling the number listed in the Contact Us section of this page.
Log in to Citizen Access. All of your permits will be listed in the Permits tab. If you don't see a list of permits, contact us to check that your license is connected. Give us a call at the number listed in the Contact Us section of this page.
From your list of permits, click on the blue Record Number link for the one you want to schedule. Keep in mind that only permits we've issued can have an inspection scheduled.
Once the permit you want to schedule loads, click on the Record Info button. Then click Inspections to get to the request screen. Click the Schedule or Request an Inspection link to schedule an inspection
The inspection type options vary based on the type of permit. Click the one you'd like to schedule then click Continue.
Pick the day and time block that works best for you. Available time blocks are morning (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM) and afternoon (12:30 PM - 3:00 PM). Then click Continue.
Enter your first name, last name and phone number. If you'd rather you can use the Select an existing contact option instead.
Before you finish scheduling your inspection, provide more details for the inspector. Click the Include Additional Notes link to open the optional comments box. Some things you should include if they apply:
Click Finish. Now your inspection is scheduled!
