Would you like a loading zone for your business? You can apply for one here.

Online Form

Step 1.Find Out if You Meet the Requirements

Before you fill out the application, make sure you meet these requirements:

  • You don't have off-street parking that can be used for loading or unloading
  • You plan to use this space for loading and unloading purposes only, not for parking
  • You don't have another loading zone on your block. Loading zones are limited to one per block, whenever possible

Loading zones can be used by anyone who wants to load or unload in that space, not just the business where the sign is placed. Anyone who's not loading or unloading, and is parked in the space for longer than 20 minutes can be ticketed.

Our traffic engineers will review your application within 48 hours.

We'll let you know if your application has been denied or approved within 2 weeks. We might contact you before that if we have questions.

Step 4.Sign Installation

If your application is approved, it can take a few weeks to install the sign. After you've installed the sign, that space should only be used for loading or unloading. We may remove the sign if the space is used for any other reason. We reserve the right to remove the loading zone if the property where it's located remains vacant or unused for longer than 30 days.
