Employment Opportunities through the LEAD Program

Our Community's Children (OCC) is looking for young people to participate in the Leadership and Employment, Achievement and Direction (LEAD) Program.

About the LEAD Program

This program incorporates best practices in civic engagement, leadership and employment for young people living in the city limits of Grand Rapids. LEAD participants build upon their workforce development skills and earn meaningful employment with Mayor's 100 Businesses, earning $10 to $13 an hour.

Eligibility

Applications are available for individuals ages 15 to 24 to apply for the spring and summer cohorts. LEAD participants who complete the training portion of the program and who are 18 or older and live in a Neighborhood of Focus -- primarily the Southeast and Southwest sides of Grand Rapids -- also will receive an $800 stipend.
