Max Frantz was appointed by the City Commission in December 2019 to fill the vacant Comptroller position. As City Comptroller, Max oversees our accounting office, which is responsible for internal audits, payroll, accounts payable and accounting services.
Max also works in change management at Amway and has 10 years of finance experience across roles in treasury, financial planning and analysis and risk management. He has completed internal audit assignments for Amway in Europe, managed derivatives for the company and served as a senior analyst and treasurer supporting financial reporting and management of international budgets.
Max is a resident of the city’s Third Ward and is proud to call Grand Rapids his home. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Grand Valley State University.
