In early 2017 the City of Grand Rapids contracted with 21CP to facilitate a Policy and Procedure Review Task Force that was made up of all ranks of the Grand Rapids Police Department and members of the community, who were appointed by the Mayor and City Commission.
The Task Force was charged with reviewing the policies and procedures of the Grand Rapids Police Department for practices that could lead to disparate outcomes in the issuing of traffic citations and searches.
This is the GRPD's response to the task force's recommendations.
