Are you competing in ArtPrize? If you would like to display your entry on a City sidewalk or street, you'll need to apply for a Temporary Use Permit.
We use a third party application called Citizen Access for our Temporary Use Permit for the official ArtPrize installation on sidewalk or street applications. If you've never used Citizen Access, we recommend that you review how to create an account before starting your application.
Once you have all information, this application takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Email the ArtPrize hosting agreement to exhibitions@artprize.org. ArtPrize must approve the agreement before the City issues a permit for an art display.
After you have approval from ArtPrize, here's what you need to do next:
There is no fee for a standard display permit. If display requires closing metered parking or streets- additional fees may apply.
Login to Citizen Access and choose the Planning Applications category using the link below. Select Temporary Use Permit - Private Property, Sidewalk Seating, ArtPrize Installation.
Complete the application in English here
Expect to hear from us within 1-2 business days. We'll email you to confirm receipt of your application. You may need to revise your application if it has missing or incorrect information. When approved, your permit will sent by email.
