Apply for a City Park Food Truck Permit

Make sure you're eligible

You'll need a Vending Truck License to vend from your food truck in the city. To apply for this permit, you'll first have to apply for a Vending Truck License if you haven't already. Check out the Mobile Food Vending Truck Checklist(PDF, 187KB) for guidance. If you have your license, let's move on to step 2.

Gather your information

Make sure you have an electronic copy of your Vending Truck License to attach to your application.

Decide when and where you want to vend

We'll ask you which dates you want to vend at the location you select. The park locations all have a paved public parking area you can vend in during park facility hours. Rosa Parks Circle hours are 6 am - 2:30 am. Decide which park you want to vend in:

 

If you want to vend at Canal Street Park, Sixth Street Park or Calder Plaza, you're looking for the Food Truck Limited Parking Permit Application.

Submit your payment

We'll send you an electronic invoice and a payment form. Submit your payment within 24 hours to secure your reservation.

We calculate your permit fee at a rate of $35 per day per location. To give you an example, if you're vending at two locations for one day, the fee is $70. We accept check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover if you mail in your application or come into our office. We accept Visa or MasterCard for online payments.
