Step 1.Check your eligibility

We can approve an exception to the Zoning Ordinance under certain circumstances. This gives you a little flexibility to meet the purpose of the Ordinance. It's not a substitute for a Variance. To qualify, make sure you have a site-specific plan that applies the design standard. 

Step 2.Gather your information

Make sure to have the following documents when apply:

  • Project details: lot size, lot depth, parcel number, area square feet, etc.
  • Zoning Ordinance you're looking for Proposed Departure
  • Site plan and elevations of proposed departure
  • Response to Review Standards questions
