Are you a contractor needing to renew an active or recently expired registration of a State-issued building, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing license or registration? Do you need to renew an active or recently expired City-issued boiler license? Renew it here!

Online Form

Step 1.Create a Citizen Access account

We use a third party application called Citizen Access for Construction License and Registration Renewals. If you’ve never used Citizen Access, we recommend that you review how to create an account before starting your application. If you're a first-time user, you'll also need to activate your license or registration. Call the number listed in the Contact Us section to request activation.

Step 2.Make sure you have time to apply

Renewing a construction license or registration typically takes about 10 minutes. You'll be able to save your application and resume later if you need more time.

Step 3.Renew your license online

To renew online, click the button below and login to Citizen Access. Once you're logged in, click the Registration tab near the top of the page. Next, under the Registration Records section of the page, select Renew Application from the Action column of the license or registration you would like to renew.

(Note: If no licenses/registrations are listed, email or call us. Our information is listed in the Contact Us section of this page. If the Renew Application action is not available, it may be too early to renew, or your renewal may have already been processed.)
