Step 1.Plan your project

We require two sets of professionally sealed plans.

Step 2.Calculate the value of improvements

Include these costs to determine the value of improvements you'll make for this project:

• Building costs
• Mechanical costs
• Electrical costs
• Plumbing costs
• Excavating costs
• Grading costs
• Any other similar costs
• Construction labor costs

Don't include any of these costs in your calculations:

• Architectural fees
• Cost of the lot
• Landscaping costs
• Personal property costs

Step 3.Have your payment ready

The permit fee can be paid by mail or in person. By mail, we accept check or money order. For in person payments, we accept cash, check or money order. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

There are three components to Cell Phone Tower and Antenna fees:

The Building Permit and Plan Review fee

• We calculate this based on the value of improvements. Use the Building Permit Fee Estimator if you need help calculating your fees.

$200 flat fee for consultant review

The Planning/Zoning fee

• $2,195 for a new cell tower
• $1,269 + building permit fees for an antenna co-location on an existing tower
• $921 + building permit fees for an upgrade to an antenna, cabinet, or other existing equipment

Step 6.Mail or drop off your completed application

You can mail us your Building Permit application or come to our office to drop it off. Our address is listed in the Contact Us section of this page.

Step 7.We'll review your application

Expect to hear from us within 1-2 business days of receipt of a mailed application. We'll email you to confirm receipt of your application. Keep in mind that you might need to revise your application or attachments if we notice any missing or incorrect information. When approved, we'll send you your permit via email.
