Are you looking to add a driveway or expand an existing driveway on your property? Apply for a permit to make sure your driveway will meet our community’s standards.
We use a third party application called Citizen Access for our Driveway Permit applications. If you've never used Citizen Access, we recommend that you review how to create an account before starting your application.
This application will take about 20 minutes once you've gathered the required information identified in the steps below. You'll be able to save your application and resume later if you need more time.
During the application process you will need to upload a site drawing showing new or expanded driveway. Include the exact locations and dimensions of all of these features:
If your driveway permit is approved, all work in the right-of-way, including curb, gutter, driveway approach/apron, and sidewalk must be performed by a City licensed Sidewalk contractor. Sidewalk contractor will be required to obtain a Sidewalk/Drive Approach permit to work in the right-of-way AFTER your driveway permit has been approved.
If your driveway work will be part of a larger development project requiring a Land Use (LUDS) permit, this Driveway Permit Application is not required. However, any work in the right-of-way will require a Sidewalk/Drive Approach Permit.
You'll need to enter your credit/debit card information to pay the permit fee. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
